Equipment for separating scum and floating debris
An alternative solution is available with the equipment of the German company Steinhardt, which do not require external energy, and could be used instead of the sedimentation devices capable of separating pollutant from the rainwater/waste water. All equipment are made from stainless steel (1.4301) or acid resistant steel (1.4571).
The HydroTwister utilizes the vortex coming into the facility, so it actually performs a gravitational separation. It is excellent for separating particles having various sizes with an efficiency up to 99 %.

The HydroSpin is installed in front of the overflow and sucks away the floatables. It is made according to a licence obtained from Japan. Its design includes a vortex chamber, therefore, the floatables cannot pass over the submerged wall. Filters with various mesh sizes and surfaces are available for the different water yields and for the respective treatment objectives.

The HydroCyclone is designed for the protection and treatment of surface waters. It operates for separating floatables and liquids from surface waters originating from the combined and communal waste water. The equipment stops 95 % of floatables, and it discharges the litter automatically.
