Flap valves
This kind of equipment is used for limiting water flow in channels, water courses and other large diameter passages in one direction. The flap valve is closed normally, which is further pressed onto the closing elements by the incoming water, so the retained water cannot flow into the channel. On the other hand, the cover of the flap valve opens even when a minimum water level appears from the inside, so that water can flow in this direction.
The flap valves are made from stainless steel (1.4301), acid resistant steel (1.4571), or hot dip galvanizes carbon steel, or high strength HDPE plastic, if required. The size may be in the range from DN 125 to DN 1200, or it can also be ordered in larger size in case of special need.
The flap valves are dimensioned normally to resist a pressure of 6 m water column, but we are ready to prepare it in strengthened version if necessary.
When the purpose is to protect sewer networks, then we are ready to prepare flap valves with many different shapes and dimensions as well.
